Where to Eat On New Years Eve in Philadelphia

Gran Caffè L’Aquila – Features a New Year’s in Rome this year. Native Roman and owner Riccardo Longo presents the food and wine served in his family’s Roman New Year. which symbolizes good luck and prosperity for the New Year. Enjoy the traditional New Years’ cuisine of Roma this week with dishes from the native Roman Longo family New Years’ Eve Table!  These holiday meals can be ordered individually or in catering trays for curbside pickup, and delivery through Mercato, Caviar, Uber Eats, and Door Dash.  Start 2021 right with the flavors of authentic Italian with Gran Caffe L’Aquila.

Cuba Libre Philadelphia – Festive celebrations are a little different this year, thanks to COVID-19, but you can still kick 2020 to the curb and ring in 2021 with an escape to Havana. New Year’s Eve at Cuba Libre, located at 10 S. 2nd St.in Old City, comes complete with champagne and mojito specials, party favors, and a special take-home gift of  “12 Lucky Grapes” — a Cuban tradition of quickly eating a grape and making a wish with each clock bell strike at midnight to welcome the new year. Reservations for New Year’s Eve dinner at the outdoor deck, holiday parklet, and 2nd street tables (all heated) begin at 4 p.m. Outdoor dining guests will enjoy an a-la-carte menu and several sumptuous menu specials crafted by Chef Guillermo Pernot while ushering in 2021

The Dutch – Chef Lee Styer’s The Dutch, the popular breakfast and lunch eatery focusing on reinventing the Pennsylvania Dutch classics, is delving into the world of southern fare with a soul food pop-up led by Philadelphia-based Chef Kevin Watters, on January 1, 2021 – New Year’s Day. The takeaway meal consists of a platter with two sides, cornbread, one meat, and $35 per person.

Amada’s New Year’s Eve Feast –Ring in the New Year’s with a 7-course taste of Garces. $80 per person, minimum of two people, Ready-to-Heat with instructions. Family-style portions of Strip Steak with Veal Short Rib, Scallop Pappardelle, Crab-Stuffed Piquillo Peppers, Garlic Shrimp, Fennel & Chicory Salad, and Brussels Sprouts. Finished with Spanish-Style Cheesecake.

The Olde Bar New Year’s Eve Surf & Turf – Want to keep it classy? Enjoy our classic Surf & Turf as you welcome the New Year. $65 per person, minimum of 2 people, Ready-to-Heat with instructions. Family-Style Portions of Prime Rib with Bordelaise & Horseradish Crème Fraiche, Half Poached Lobster for each guest, Herb-Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Artichoke Gratin, Green Salad with Grapefruit, Parker House Rolls, and Chocolate Caramel Layer Cake.

Garces Favorites NYE Cocktail Party – $65 per person, minimum of 2 people, Ready-to-Heat with instructions. Food favorites TOGETHER from The Olde Bar, Amanda, Village Whiskey, J.G. Domestic Cheers to the season with a selection of our favorite small plates from Garces restaurants for the perfect cocktail hour! Includes Family-style portions of Whipped Feta & Garden Vegetables (JG Domestic), Bacon-Wrapped Dates (Amada), Crab Fingers (The Olde Bar), Shrimp Cocktail (The Olde Bar), Deviled Eggs (Village Whiskey), and Spanish Meatballs & Manchego-Stuffed Cherry Pepper (Amanda). $45 person, minimum of two people. This meal requires 2 days notice.

New Year’s with Cinderella at the Igloos – Glu Hospitality and A Dash of Magic Events presents the Kids’ Countdown to New Year’s Eve with Cinderella at the Igloos at Germantown Garden Grill. Head to Northern Liberties and say goodbye to 2020 with one of the most famous and timeless princesses of them all. But don’t delay, as you don’t want to turn into a pumpkin at Midnight! This magical and socially distanced dining experience will be an unforgettable way to say goodbye to 2020. The royal date is set for December 31, 2020 – with three seatings at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm. Metro Diner – With 2020 in the rearview, your neighborhood Metro Diner is ringing in the New Year with a special prix fixe menu featuring Beef Tips or Salmon with scrumptious sides, soup or salad and for dessert, a delicious multi-layered chocolate cake – all for only $19.99! Open for regular dining hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, guests can enjoy this meal for dine-in and to-go, along with $2.99 mimosas and Bloody Marys – perfect to cheers with on New Year’s Day, which conveniently doubles as National Bloody Mary Day!

A.Kitchen – Enjoy Chef Eli Collins seasonal and luxurious cuisine from home with a.kitchen’s takeout offerings for New Year’s Eve. The four-course menu clocks in at $95 for 2 people. New Year’s Day, a.kitchen will be open for brunch starting at 12PM. The full menu will be available all day, in addition to Pork Choucroute, a traditional dish said to bring luck for the year.

Fork – For New Year’s Eve, Fork is serving a craveable prime rib feast for two or four people to celebrate with at home. Enjoy Chef George Madosky’s Dry Aged Prime Rib (40-50 oz), served with Oysters Rockefeller, Wedge Salad, Truffled Mashed Potatoes, and Chocolate Mousse for dessert. Guests may choose to elevate their experience with a Caviar add-on with buttery toast points or a bottle of wine from Fork’s curated bottle shop. Everything for the meal is fully cooked and comes with specific reheating instructions. This offering is available for takeout and pre-order via Tock.

High Street Philly – Even with more intimate and low-key New Year’s Eve celebrations, people will likely still need a hangover cure breakfast sandwich on New Year’s Day. Enter: High Street’s renowned/beloved breakfast sandwiches! High Street Philly will be serving the High Street on Market classic breakfast sandwiches including The Forager, Hickory Town, BEC, Pastrami Hash, and Beet Cured Salmon Pretzel from 10 AM to 3 PM outside of the new High Street location (101 S. 9th St.). Grab a sandwich and keep going, or stay and relax in High Street’s expanded (and heated!) outdoor seating area while enjoying the first day of 2021.

Walnut Street Cafe – For New Year’s Walnut Street Cafe has a few options up its sleeve. Catering trays available for pre-order and delivery with options available for every at-home celebration vibe. For those looking for an elevated at-home experience, options like Raclette Fondue Platter with apples, baguette, and redskin potato wedges with the option to add on Perigord Truffle or Jumbo Lump Crab or the Fruit de Mare Platter with oysters, shrimp, Jonah crab claws, Hamachi Tartare and chilled lobster with the option to add on Siberian Sturgeon Caviar. Other options include a Cheese and Charcuterie Platter, Wing Trays, Mezze Platter, BBQ Chicken Slider Kits, and Hot Appetizer Trays. Order via Tock. Walnut Street Cafe will be open for brunch on New Year’s Day from 12 to 3 PM, serving their standard brunch menu with some fun additions, including bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s for $15.

Le Cavalier – Dine In: Le Cav will offer a three-course menu with abundant options to help ring in the New Year. Luxe small plate options include Foie Gras Mousse with blood orange marmalade and Chestnut Soup with hen of the woods mushroom and black truffle. Entrees range from Bouillabaisse with saffron-shellfish broth, branzino, swordfish, shrimp, baguette, rouille to Bavette, Seven Hill Farm grass-fed cut, with au Poivre sauce and pomme purée. For dessert, an impossible choice of Pear Gateau or Chocolate Mousse. Supplemental wine and beverage options will be available.
